Oklahoma City, OK-Rev. Samuel David Tate passed away on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in Oklahoma City, OK. He had made his home in White Sulphur Springs since 1968.
Rev. Tate was born in McKeesport, PA, on Apr. 28, 1931. He was a graduate of Alderson Broaddus University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Rev. Tate is survived by wife Patricia, four children, nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
He retired from The Greenbrier Hotel and was also a minister, teacher, and Chapel Pastor at the White Sulphur Springs Presbyterian Church for many years.
There will be a memorial Service on Sunday, Mar. 10 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in White Sulphur Springs.
