White Sulphur Springs-Remos Allen Lowe, 74, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, after a long illness.
Allen was born Mar. 20, 1941, in Greenbrier County to Pattie Sparks Lowe and John Wesley Lowe.
On June 7, 1979, Allen married his soul mate Sarah Lowe and became the father to her four children. Allen was a self-employed carpenter and plumber and an employee of The Greenbrier until he retired in 1997. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as a brother, Joseph Luther Lowe; and two sons, Remos Allen Lowe, Jr. and Carl Eugene Lowe.
He has left behind his loving wife, Sarah and his five children, four daughters, Teresa Banton (Jerry) of Hickory, NC, Twila Booze of White Sulphur Springs, Leighann Dwiggins of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Lisa Lowe and Kelly Dwiggins of Pennsylvania; four sisters, Shirley Thibault (Mark) of Colorado Springs, Angieline Sparks of Hopewell, VA, Sarah Ethel Fanning of White Sulphur Springs, and Mellie Huffman (Mike) of Hopewell, VA. Also missing their grandfather will be Mychal and Noah Gillespie of Hickory, NC, Cole and Sydnie Booze of White Sulphur Springs, Jonah Dwiggins of Covington, VA, Jackson Dwiggins, Morgan, Cierra, Autumn, Gavin and Jake Alderman, Cheyenne Nokomis and Jessie Clark.
Family visitation was Wednesday evening, Dec. 9 at Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 10, at Grace Baptist Church, White Sulphur Springs, where Rev. Lloyd Camp officiated. Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs.
