Students can now register for summer classes at New River Community and Technical College. Registration began on Monday, Mar. 21.
The college will host five-week and 10-week summer sessions from May 23 through July 29. Abbreviated summer classes are an ideal way to catch up or jump ahead in a degree program. For college students who are home during summer break, most courses will transfer to other four-year institutions.
The summer schedule is available at http://www.newriver.edu/quicklinks/course-schedules. Fall 2016 registration for new students who have completed all admissions paperwork begins on Apr. 18.
Early registration is recommended for students to get the courses they need to complete degrees and certificates.
New students planning to attend in the summer should submit their application for admission by clicking on the “Apply Now” tab at www.newriver.edu. The application form also may be printed and mailed or completed at the Office of Admissions on any of the College’s campuses.
After applying for admission, students seeking financial aid must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov, using school code 039603. A student must be fully admitted in order for financial aid or loans to be processed and awarded.
For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 1-866-349-3739.
