Robin Poteet, an award-winning watercolorist from Salem, VA, will teach a three-day sketching workshop at Carnegie Hall on Oct. 9-11. The class is open to all artists, including beginners and non-painters who just want to experience the joy of learning how to sketch.
Materials for the class are minimal – a few watercolors, a couple of small brushes, pens, and pencils. Robin will provide a small spiral bound journal for each participant for use in the class.
Mornings will include short sketching trips around Lewisburg, with afternoons in Carnegie’s third floor art studio.
The workshop is sponsored by Greenbrier Artists, a nonprofit art group who paint regularly at Carnegie Hall. All who have an interest in art are invited to join them on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
