Read Aloud West Virginia (RAWV) is a Charleston-based nonprofit organization that seeks to motivate children to want to read. The program currently operates in 30 counties and continues to grow.
The Greenbrier County Chapter of RAWV will hold orientation meetings for prospective volunteer readers. The first meeting will be held at the Greenbrier County Library in Lewisburg on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. The second meeting will be held at the Rupert Public Library on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. Both meetings will be led by Mary Kay Bond, executive director of RAWV.
Anyone interested in reading in an elementary or middle school classroom on a weekly basis should attend one of these highly informative training sessions.
