The August meeting of the Greenbrier County Democratic Women’s Club featured speaker Ramsie Monk of the Women’s Health Center of West Virginia (WHC WV). Ramsie discussed the increasing challenges to women’s health care access in the State.
The meeting was also the kick-off for a fundraising campaign for WHC WV, which will culminate in a special Hollywood movie premiere-style event titled “Lights, Camera, Liberation,” on Thursday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m. at the Lewis Theater, 865 Court Street, Lewisburg.
The event will feature the WV premiere screening of No One Asked You, a documentary battling misogyny with comedy. The reception is at 6 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m.
