The Child and Youth Advocacy Center (CYAC) is pleased to announce that the 2014 CYAC Open House is set for Friday, Dec. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited along with elected officials and members of the Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Teams in Greenbrier, Monroe and Pocahontas Counties to the CYAC offices in downtown Lewisburg to take part in celebrating the progress that has been made to help children and families in our area throughout the past year.
CYAC will be recognizing and showing appreciation for Professional Security Services and 2014 Champion for Children Award recipient Brandon Black for their continued support for CYAC at past events. Along with providing security to many of the big events every year, PSS volunteered their services for the 2014 Polar Bear Plunge.
For the past ten years, CYAC’s mission has been to end child abuse in Greenbrier, Monroe and Pocahontas Counties by coordinating a multidisciplinary response to child maltreatment through utilizing a team approach to investigation, prosecution, treatment and prevention.
