After being closed for several months, the Irish Pub in downtown Lewisburg is reopening under a new name and with new management.
The newly-named Washington Street Pub opened Friday, April 12, just in time for the chocolate festival, and is now being managed by Colin Rose and Paula Thomas, owners of The Asylum, and Aiden Sullivan will be the bar manager. They said they will see in the future about beer lists, whiskey lists, and Pub Quiz. They have kept the dart boards, but have now added a pool table as well.
They commented, “We worked very hard to get it reopen as soon as possible, but will definitely have a few fun things in the future! Andrea and Patrick have left huge shoes to fill. We will do our best. Having had the Asylum for four years, we feel prepared for the task.”
Their new hours and contact information are posted on their Facebook page @WashingtonStreetPub.
