If photography is one of your hobbies, consider taking the Advanced Photography class offered by Professional Photographer Mark Romano at New River Community and Technical College.
Romano has published seven pictorial books, mostly focused on the history of Nicholas and Webster counties. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Glenville State College and received his master’s degree in business from West Virginia University.
The class will be a fun way to learn advanced photography methods not often taught in basic classes. You will cover a night shoot somewhere nearby the College. Learn what to look for in composing photos that will set your work apart. Learn how to save images for digital archival purposes and how to print your photos for generations to enjoy. In addition, Romano will offer practical tips about how to market your photos and make money.
“Advanced Photography” will be held 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, Tuesday, Aug. 25 and Thursday, Aug. 27 at New River CTC’s Greenbrier Valley Campus, Lee Street Complex, Building D, Classroom 1, in Lewisburg.
The cost is $125, and you must bring your own camera. Pre-registration is required by Aug. 18. To register or for more information, please contact Sandra Wilmer at 304-793-3001, swilmer@newriver.edu.
