The long-anticipated pedestrian walking bridge has been installed across Howard’s Creek in White Sulphur Springs just adjacent to the former site of Big Draft Brewing and behind the Veteran’s Memorial downtown. After 13 years in the making, the bridge offers expanded parking to the downtown area, an ADA-accessible way to catch a new look at the creek, and a safe route for pedestrians and bicyclists in the area. The prefabricated bridge is wide enough to allow easy passage for foot traffic from each side simultaneously, and the expanded parking lot on the other side of the creek will come in handy during special events like the annual Dandelion Festival.
