NRCTC recognizes cosmetology graduates during pinning ceremony

The following students received their program completion certificates during the Aug. 21 pinning ceremony: Jessica Laxton, Lissa Pyne, Ella Rose, Lamont Edwards, Austin Rice, Anthony Spadaro, Chris Dillon, Haley Skaggs, Amber LaFever, and Tabbitha Mains.

New River Community and Technical College recognized students completing cosmetology programs during a pinning ceremony held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, in the Lucie Refsland Student Center of the Kyle and Ann Fort Arts and Science Building on the Greenbrier Valley Campus.

Students from aesthetics, barbering, hairstyling, and nail art and technology were honored as they received their certificates marking the successful completion of their programs.

Those recognized included:

  • Aesthetics: Jessica Laxton, Lissa Pyne, Ella Rose
  • Barbering: Lamont Edwards, Austin Rice, Anthony Spadaro
  • Barber Chemical: Chris Dillon
  • Hairstyling: Haley Skaggs
  • Nail Art & Technology: Amber LaFever, Tabbitha Mains

Michael Green, Vice President of External Affairs, commended the students for their commitment to their education and their future careers. “This ceremony is a meaningful milestone,” Green said. “It reflects the perseverance of our students and their readiness to contribute to the beauty and wellness industry.”
