Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) Youth Education Program Showcases start on Apr. 17 at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. with the GVTots’ Story Time! These young students have been meeting once a week since January and are ready to show off their new skills.
Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for children/seniors (60+). For tickets or more information, call GVT’s Box Office at 304-645-3838 or visit www.gvtheatre.org.
“We are so excited to present our Tots students to the community! These young thespians have spent the past year learning theatre fundamentals, including collaboration, character choices, and public speaking,” said Teaching Artist Lukas Hagley.
This year, the GVTots will be showing off their new skills through song and poetry. Each child will get a chance to be in the spotlight while performing and singing songs from the classics of musical theatre.
“Their showcase will exhibit all of these lessons through their performances of children’s poetry and musical theatre dance numbers,” Hagley said.
The program is presented with financial assistance from the WV Division of Culture & History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
