Examples of the new store renovations include vignette displays, an expanded pet department and updated apparel department.

Walmart customers in Lewisburg were welcomed inside the newly transformed Supercenter at 1976 Jefferson St. North this morning as the much-anticipated project is now complete. Creating omni-shopping experiences that save customers time and money, Walmart continues its transformational journey to become America’s favorite place to shop whether in-store, online or via the mobile app.

Walmart associates marked the occasion this morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. The event was attended by local Lewisburg organizations and officials including City Manager Misty Hill and Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker.

“At Walmart, enhancing our customers’ shopping experience is always a priority,” said Heather Baker, Lewisburg Walmart store manager. “We’re thrilled to unveil to our customers a variety of new features and improvements at the store. A big thank you to our dedicated associates, and our store leadership teams for their exceptional efforts throughout the renovation.”

During the celebration, store leaders and associates highlighted the transformation as well as the new interactive features available to customers, including:

  • Transformed departments and digital touchpoints located throughout the store to help communicate the variety of products and services Walmart offers
  • Vision and Pharmacy department updates
  • A reconfigured store layout creating more space for customers to explore and discover the breadth and depth of what their local store has to offer
  • Refreshed interior and exterior with new signage for easier navigation through the stores and exterior updates to the parking lot and landscaping

In addition, Walmart customers in Lewisburg now have access to a wider assortment of products. Through options such as online pickup, delivery, express delivery and Walmart Pay, customers can get the items they want, when they want them – creating a better overall shopping experience.

To further illustrate Walmart’s commitment to helping others live better in the communities it serves, the store manager and several associates presented $4,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations. The grant awards include:

$2,000 to the City of Lewisburg Police Department

$1,000 to Leaf N Hope Foundation

$750 to Make-a-Wish

$250 to Project Linus
