On Apr. 27, the Greenbrier Historical Society hosted a fashionable affair to open the new exhibit, “Mothers of Material: Women and Textile Production in Greenbrier Valley.”
Guests, volunteers, and staff came dressed in historic costumes to enjoy the music stylings of Jim Snyder and the demonstrations of fiber artisans from Studio #2 and Fiber Arts Network throughout the museum. The “Mothers of Material” exhibit now occupies every room on the second floor, and will be on display through the end of the year.
The Greenbrier Historical Society is also preparing for another exciting event, the bi-annual Home Tour Weekend, which starts June 7. Tickets for the Home Tour Weekend are available for purchase on sale May 1 in-person at the North House Museum, online at www.greenbrierhistorical.org, or by phone at 304-645-3398.
