Shirley Runyon, New River Community and Technical College Board of Governors member and owner of American Beer Company, has donated a 2006 Ford Freestar minivan to the College’s automotive programs.
On Jan. 7, the van was transported to the Advanced Technology Center in Ghent, where it will be used for students enrolled in the certificate program in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair as well as associate degree program in Automotive Service Technology.
These programs prepare students for employment as maintenance and light repair technicians and are designed to meet current National Automotive Technician Education Foundation accreditation standards.
Anyone interested in making a donation, contact 304-929-6734 or 304-929-1042. All donations are tax deductible.
