The Lewisburg Police Department has gained a new officer after a socially-distant ceremony was held in the Lewisburg City Council Chambers this morning.
Rigoberto Rodriguez Jr. was sworn in by Mayor Beverly White and says he’s looking forward to working his new post.
“It’ll be a change coming from Alderson,” said Rodriguez, “It’s a bigger area.”
Rodriguez has multiple years of police experience and is bilingual.
Police Chief Chris Teubert said, “We are very excited to add a thirteenth officer to our force. I would like to thank the council and their support in adding another officer.”
