The American Red Cross West Virginia Region’s Chief Executive Officer, Erica Mani has named Stephanie Meadows as the new Executive Director for the American Red Cross of Southeast West Virginia, headquartered in Beckley.
“I am thrilled to announce that Stephanie Meadows, a dedicated Red Cross employee, is beginning a new position today as Executive Director of the Southeast West Virginia Chapter. Her experience with the organization will be an asset as we continue to help people throughout the chapter and state. It is an exciting time for the Red Cross” said Mani.
Meadows began her career with American Red Cross in October 2011 as a Development Coordinator. Prior to joining the American Red Cross, she worked in fundraising for multiple non-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Charleston Area Medical Center Foundation and the March of Dimes. Her nonprofit experience covers 15 years. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Beckley. Meadows is a graduate of Concord College where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree.
In her capacity as Executive Director, Meadows will be responsible for the day-day management of the chapter, fundraising and promotion of the organization in order to raise public awareness and increase volunteers. The newly designated American Red Cross of Southeast West Virginia is comprised of eleven counties including Raleigh, Webster, Pocahontas, Nicholas, Greenbrier, Fayette, Summers, Monroe, Mercer, Wyoming and McDowell.
Meadows’ passion for American Red Cross began when her parents received assistance from Red Cross after losing their home in a flood. Growing up, attending college, working, and living in Southeastern West Virginia have resulted in deep roots in these communities. “Southeastern West Virginia is where I call home and the opportunity to serve individuals in this area feels like helping family” said Meadows.
