The Tutoring Center Foundation is pleased to introduce new Executive Director, Danielle Brown. Danielle has been with The Tutoring Center since 2011 and took on the role of Executive Director in July of 2014.
She loves spending time with children and has two children of her own, lovely daughters Hanna and Brittany from her marriage of 18 years with husband, Greg Brown. She is the Assistant Leader for the Williamsburg Flying Falcons 4-H Club and Area Coordinator for Frankford Girls Softball as well. Danielle is excited to be working to raise The Tutoring Center Foundation’s profile once again in the community. She is looking forward to working with the tutors to provide the best help possible for students and to preside over programs and fundraising events soon to be announced.
The Tutoring Center Foundation has been located at 107 N. Lafayette Street in Lewisburg for over 10 years. In this cozy and welcoming space, students K-12 can receive one-on-one tutoring in just about any subject (yes, even advanced math), SAT/ACT and GED prep, homeschooling assistance, summer learning, enrichment and more. The Tutoring Center Foundation offers a supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities to receive the academic assistance needed for success. The tutors emphasize building self-esteem and confidence, along with study and time-management skills, believing confident learners are the best learners.
The Center has helped over 1,000 students in its 10+ years of operation, always on a sliding payment scale. Many scholarships are available and no one is turned away due to financial need, as long as funding is available.
