The new addition to the left side of the Greenbrier County Courthouse is now open to the public. While several departments are still in the process of being moved from the original building into the new wing, members of the public must now go to the new entrance to access the county planning and zoning department, the County Commission office, and the fiduciary supervisor’s office.
Once the move is complete, the new annex will house all county offices, while the judicial offices will remain in the main building. County offices moving to the annex in the future include the County Clerk and voter registration office, the sheriff’s tax office, and the assessor’s office and map room.
The addition adds a substantial amount of square footage to the courthouse, as well as enhanced safety measures for employees.
