Children at Alderson Energy Express got the opportunity to meet a local children’s author during “Friends” week. 
Monroe County author Brittney Cassity came in to read the children an excerpt from one of her books titled Queen Calla’s Heroes. The book is about a bat named Bart who accidentally becomes Cindy the honeybee’s alarm clock. Cindy has been sent on a search by her queen to find a new place for the hive to call home after storm damage made the one they have unsafe for their baby bees. Bart and his friends Fiddlebug and Craig all agree to help and find out just how much muddy fun can be found while lending a hand.
