In this article I will be giving you quite a few names of our Wrestlers. I wish that I had time and space to brag about each and every one of them. I am so Proud of ALL of them.
At the end of practice yesterday, our Coaches talked in front of the whole team about how this has been the best start to any season ever. I agreed, however, I stated that it’s not how you start, but how you finish. I then reminded them that we have finished higher in the State each year for the past four years and we must improve every day to reach our goals. I really love this team!
The following Wrestlers have been to practice and each will play a big part in helping us accomplish our goals. The Seniors this year are Josh Amos, Chris Delany, Jasiel Kinder, Brent Miller and Sheldon Simmons. Our Juniors are Ethan Asbury, Cheyenne Banton, Jacob Christie, Logan Evans and Mae Boling. Our Sophomores are Thomas Bostic, Leslie Campbell, Aaron Davis, Jacob Hefner, Levi Hobbs, Jacob Scott, Jacob Thomas and Cameron Zobrist. Jaylon Battaile, Bruce Humphreys, DeAndre Griffith, Jacob Smith and Luther Wright are the Freshmen. There are a few others that will take to the mat before the season ends and will help us in the future.
TRIVIA: Our captains play a big role in the success of our Wrestling program. Can you name the four Wrestlers who have the honor and responsibility to lead this year’s team?
Upcoming events and highlights
We are currently in Point Pleasant and getting our first chance to compete at the James Eades Tournament. I will be Tweeting the results @CoachMiluk. Please follow our success.
See Coach Miluk or one of our current Wrestlers about our ‘Adopt a Wrestler’ program. It’s a Great way to support our team and follow the success of our Wrestlers and team.
E.G.M.S. UPDATE: This past weekend I had the great opportunity to watch and coach the future of Greenbrier East Wrestling. The E.G.M.S. Wrestling team wrestled well at the “Wayne Bennett” Duals Tournament. We really have some well-disciplined and talented Wrestlers. I am very excited for them. Great job Coach Bush.
Eastern Greenbrier Wrestling Club is also accepting memberships for anyone interested in wrestling (Ages 4-12) Contact Laurie Fisher at 1-304-661-2211
MILUK HUMOR: Nothing really funny today. I just want to give a quick shout out to my hard of hearing friends! (Hey wait, that is funny!)
