White Sulphur Springs-Michael Edward Cornwell, 53, passed away on Tuesday, Mar. 22, 2016, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.
Born June 5, 1962, in Ronceverte, he was a son of Edward Lee and Sandra Dosier Cornwell of White Sulphur Springs.
Michael was a US Veteran. After graduating, he was employed by Westvaco in Covington, VA for 25 years. He was an artist, a leather worker, and loved to gunsmith and hunt.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Mitchell Cornwell; paternal grandparents, Ira and Flossie Cornwell; and maternal grandparents, Clara and Wesley Dosier.
Surviving are his wife, Shelia at home; four sons, Daric Bennett of Charlottesville, VA, Ben, Sam and Isaac Cornwell all at home; four daughters, Haley Cornwell of Texas, Autmnn Larue and Amber Larue of Lewisburg and Josie Hardy of Gap Mills; and two grandchildren, Jeremiah Marshall and Davonna Larue.
His Memorial Service was conducted Tuesday, Mar. 29, in the Chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home where Andrew Cecil officiated. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Interment was in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
