Lewisburg-Melvin Eugene Bostic, 87, died Tuesday, Apr. 7, 2020, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Born Sept. 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Denny and Kathleen Bostic. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo.
He was a lifelong member of Clifton Presbyterian Church and served as elder, Sunday school teacher, and various officers in the church. Melvin served in the U.S. Navy for four years, retired from Westvaco after 19 years and was a member of the Maxwelton Ruritan Club. He loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout the years.
Survivors are his wife, Frankie, of 65 years, of Lewisburg; three daughters, Jessie Bostic of Maxwelton, Tammy Bostic McCraw of Sinks Grove, and Vickie Bostic of Mannington; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Stephanie McCraw, Blankenship and sons, Sawyer and Finn of Charmco, Chad Saunders (Elizabeth) and daughter, Thea and son, Ryan of Melbourne, Australia; Jared McCraw (Devin) and son, Preston and Keegan of Union; Justin McCraw and son Easton of Ronceverte; two sisters, Sue (Gus) McCormick of Ronceverte and Marquerite Wiseman of North Carolina.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
McCraw Funeral Home of Lewisburg will be in charge of arrangements.
