Pelzer, SC-Mary Virginia “Peggy” Dixon Reynolds, wife of the late Bobby L. Reynolds, passed from this world on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2020.

Born Dec. 14, 1930, in Sunlight, WV, she was a daughter of the late Arthur G. and Mary Virginia Bare Dixon.

She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and lived for many years in Frankford with her husband, Bobby. Mary “Peggy” was formerly employed with Bendix Corporation and The Kellwood Corporation and was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Regular Baptist Church in Sunlight and attended Washington Baptist Church in Pelzer, SC. She was a very busy homemaker and mother, but also enjoyed gardening, her homemakers club, quilting, crafting, and art.

Mary “Peggy” Reynolds lived a long and rewarding life and is survived by four children, Paul F. Frankie” Reynolds and wife Beverly of Unionville, VA, Sheila Reynolds of Pelzer, SC, Kathy Payne and husband Tom of Pelzer, SC, and Sammy Reynolds and wife Dianna of Severn, MD; brothers and sisters, Bill, Frank, Edna, Sammie and Sally; she was also blessed with six grandchildren, Jennifer, Shawn, Jeremy, J.T., Jerrod, and Thomas; and six great-grandchildren, Devan, Zackary, Bodey, Jessy, Jaden and Zachary.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 16 at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Brushy Flats, WV.

McCraw Funeral Home in Frankford is in charge of arrangements.
