White Sulphur Springs– Mary Francis Gallaher, 71, died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at her home of a short illness.
Mrs. Gallaher was born May 11, 1946, the daughter of the late Wyatt and Ada White Byers of White Sulphur Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, James “Albert” Gallaher; two sons, Hullett “Huey” and Scot Gallaher; four brothers, Eugene, Joe, James and Willie (Bill) White; and sister, Betty Williams of White Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by daughter, Debra Gallaher of White Sulphur Springs; two granddaughters, Amanda Gallaher of White Sulphur Springs and Rose Marie Gallaher of Ridley Park, PA; great-grandson, Michael French of Ridley Park, PA; two sisters, Annabelle Gabbert of Caldwell and Nancy King of Disputanta, VA; and brother, Bobby R. White of White Sulphur Springs.
She and her husband moved to Wilmington, Delaware, early in their marriage and stayed for some 35 years. Upon their retirement, they moved back to White Sulphur Springs and took up residence on Route 92 near Neola in 2005. She loved the outdoors – she had a passion for her flowers and raising a garden.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Alvon Presbyterian Church Cemetery with her brother Bobby White officiating.
There will be no visitation.
