On the morning hours of Friday, July 11, members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a breaking and entering that had occurred at Appalachian Aggregates near Crawley. Responding deputies were able to determine a male individual had entered inside the business by reviewing video surveillance. Deputies were also able to determine multiple items to be missing from inside the business.
Deputies cleared the scene and began a search for the individual seen in the video surveillance. Shortly thereafter, deputies located an individual matching the description observed in the video walking westbound on Route 60 in Sam Black. He was identified as Daniel Sanford, Jr. of Manchester, NH, and was subsequently detained. After executing a search warrant, many of the items missing from the business were found in a backpack the male individual was carrying.
Sanford was charged with the crimes of Breaking and Entering and Petit Larceny. He is currently held at Southern Regional Jail on $7,500 bond. The case is being investigated by Sgt. Brandon McCormick of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office.
