Gap Mills-Luther Emerson Withrow, Jr., 90, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at White Sulphur Springs Care.
Born Aug. 12, 1925, in Edwight, WV, he was the son of the late Luther Emerson and Ollie Woodrum Withrow.
Luther was a member of the Crimson Springs Church, a mechanic, a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Other than his parents, Luther was preceded in death by: son, Martin Withrow; one grandchild; sister, Billie; and brothers, Everette and Charles.
Survivors include: wife of 70 years, Esther Ellen Galford Withrow; daughters, Charlene K. Mengel (Donald) of Spring, TX, Phyllis I. Porterfield (Ronald) of Sweet Springs and Pandora Buckland (Ronnie) of White Sulphur Springs; son, Curtis Emerson Withrow (Debbie) of Conroe, TX; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Lee Shaver of Canton, OH.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Crimson Springs Church at Gap Mills with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday, Nov. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
