LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, our program of nine films – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will travel to over 150 cities and screen in front of 25,000 people. Each year, various organizations bring LUNAFESTs to their communities and raise funds for their local nonprofits as well as our main beneficiary – the Breast Cancer Fund. The Breast Cancer Fund is dedicated to eliminating the environmental causes of breast cancer. Through education, policy initiatives and other innovative campaigns, the Breast Cancer Fund mobilizes the public to help stop this devastating epidemic affecting one in eight women.
LUNAFEST is sponsored by the Family Refuge Center and will be held Sunday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Lewis Theater. Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance at http://www.lunafest.org/lewisburg0504 or may be purchased at the door for $12.
