White Sulphur Springs-Lois May Cox was born Dec. 16, 1948, and departed to be with her Savior on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015.
Lois was the daughter of the late Haywood and Gladys Jewel Smith, and the youngest of five children.
Lois was a born again Christian, who lived her life for the Lord and her family and friends. She was a loving wife, momma and grandma.
She is survived by: her husband of 50 years, Lloyd M. Cox; three children, David Cox, Missy Cole and Shelly Cox; three grandchildren, Summer Cole, Michael Cole and Mathew White; two sisters, Ellen Comley and husband Harold, Joyce Mile and husband Basil; and a brother, Larry Smith and wife Pat.
A brother, Glen Smith preceded her in death.
A “Celebration of Life’ service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Alvon United Methodist Church, Rt. 92, White Sulphur Springs, officiated by dear friends Rev. Robert McClintic and Robert “Buck” Caldwell.
