Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity invites the community to help build a very special home for a family. Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity in White Sulphur Springs is sponsoring a sign a stud event at their ReStore, Saturday, Oct. 25, from 1-4 p.m. People who donate can choose a one foot section of a 2 x 4 stud, and sign his or her name and best wishes. All studs will be installed in a new Partner Family house.
Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is celebrating their 25th year of service in partnership with low-income families in Eastern West Virginia. Their mission is to eliminate substandard poverty housing in Greenbrier, Pocahontas and Pendleton counties and to make safe, decent, affordable housing a matter of conscience and action. Since 1989, they have built and sold more than 150 new homes and performed over 500 repairs. Almost Heaven Habitat builds not only houses, but also relationships and a sense of community through their partner families and volunteers who work together in equal partnership.
