General Andrew Lewis Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution held their annual Christmas meeting and luncheon at the renowned French Goat in Lewisburg. The members were welcomed to the beautiful restaurant by the owner, Arthur Forgette and the DAR hostesses, Brenda and Linda Spencer.
Regent Deborah Phillips presided over the brief meeting. Christmas cards were circulated from table to table to be signed by the attending members and sent to the members not in attendance. Many members were accompanied by their husband and some brought guests. Those in attendance were Carol Olson, Suzanne and Russell Cronquist, Jodie Nidey, Mary Fullen and her guests, Judy and Skip Deegans, associate member Jeannie Sander and her husband Tom, Nancy Greenstreet, Addie Goodrich, Gretchen Lovett, Elizabeth Isaac, Doris Kasley, Karen McClung, Suzanne Snyder, Brenda Spencer, Linda Spencer, Ruth Sturgill, Deborah Philips and her husband Phil.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political women’s service organization whose main objectives are historic preservation, education and patriotism. Members are all lineal descendants of those who supported the cause of independence in the Revolutionary War back in 1776.
