Mountain State Press, Inc. is pleased to announce a powerful new anthology: Voices on Unity: Coming Together, Falling Apart.
In these unsettling times, writers are called to express their thoughts and feelings in the medium they know best: words. Edited by author/editor Cat Pleska, this collection of prose, poetry, and song comes from a combined 35 contributors from West Virginia and twelve other states. These artists offer us their ideas on the challenges of unity and the difficulties of remaining united or falling apart, not just as a country, but in their own personal worlds. Through their words, we are offered insight on the meaning of unity and how to survive and thrive at any moment in time.
West Virginia writers included in the collection are Lewisburg author Belinda Anderson, Huntington authors Joel Peckham, Rachael Peckham, Mary Barbara Moore, Marie Manilla, Kayla Queen, Laura Treacy Bentley, and Sarah A. Chavez. Also included are West Virginia Poet Laureate March Harshman, well known children’s author Anna Eagan Smucker, and novelist Meredith Sue Willis. Other well known authors and writers include M. Lynne Squires, Betsy Raye Allen, Mary Imo Stike, Randi Ward, Paul Epstein, Fran Simone, H.S. Sowards, Phyllis Wilson Moore, Pete Kosky, Joe Limer, Chris Green, Susanna Holstein, Carla Thomas McClure and Sheila McEntee.
