It’s Madness! On Saturday, Mar. 19, the Lewisburg Rotary Club will hold its annual March Rotary Madness fundraiser. This year’s hoops-themed extravaganza will take place at the Alumni Center on the campus of WVSOM beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Live and silent auctions offer the chance at exclusive weekend getaways, fine art, and more. B Sweet Confectionery will provide a gourmet steak slider bar with 24 toppings, from pineapple to pimento cheese, bacon to balsamic onion jam. Additionally, some lighthearted competition will get attendees vying for bragging rights. A free throw contest or corn hole tournament will be on the agenda, if the weather cooperates. And, of course, the NCAA Tournament will be on the big screen.
Adam Criddle, chair of the planning committee, said, “This annual event is always a great time, and it raises money for an important cause, our scholarship program. We hope to see a lot of the community out for it.”
March Rotary Madness is a fundraiser for the Lewisburg Rotary Foundation’s Scholarship Fund. Now in its 30th year, the Lewisburg Scholarship Fund has awarded $215,000 in college scholarships to some of GEHS’s most promising students.
The planning committee is seeking sponsors. If you are interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities contact Criddle at acriddle@grcs.com. To contribute items to the auction, contact L.J. Fauber at ljfauber@suddenlin.net.
