Lewisburg residents Jake Bridges, Christopher McCullough and Justin McCullough recently competed with over 350 swimmers at the Piedmont YMCA Swimming Association Championship swim meet in Bedford, VA.
Bridges placed 1st in the 200 yard free relay, 4th in the 200 yard medley relay, 5th in the 100 yard and 200 yard back stroke, 7th in the 100 yard IM and 100 yard breast stroke, 10th in the 50 yard free and 13th in the 100 yard free.
Christopher McCullough placed 1st in the 200 yard medley relay, 200 yard free relay and 400 yard free relay, 2nd in the 50 yard breast stroke, 3rd in the 200 yard breast stroke and 4th in the 50 yard back stroke and 100 yard breast stroke.
Justin McCullough placed 1st in the 200 yard medley relay and 200 yard free relay, 2nd in the 50 yard back stroke, 5th in the 50 yard breast stroke and 10th in the 100 yard back stroke.
Additionally, Bridges and Justin McCullough were on the team record setting 200 yard free relay, Christopher and Jake McCullough were on the team record setting 400 yard free relay, and were on the team record setting 200 yard medley relay. They compete as members of the Alleghany Highlands YMCA Dolphins Swim Team. Overall, the team finished third in the district.
