In addition the Governor issued a Recreational Trails grant for $80,000 for the Confederate Cemetery project. The two $80,000 awards are to build a walking trail from the Confederate Cemetery to the Lewisburg Elementary School property to promote safe walking from the school to the Cemetery and the Greenbrier County Library. “We appreciate the ongoing support for the WV Department of Highways and Governor Tomblin to help make Lewisburg a safer place for pedestrians,” said Mayor Manchester.
