At their annual membership meeting on Jan. 23, the Lewisburg Farmer’s Market elected new officers and voted to begin their 2018 season on Saturday, Apr. 14.
The Lewisburg Farmers Market is a nonprofit organization partnering with local farmers and value added producers to market quality fresh West Virginia food and farm products to the public. 2018 Officers are President, Frank Tuckwiller; Vice-President, Lynn Benedict; Secretary, Tenley Shewmake; Treasurer, Willow Kelly; Marketing Committee Chair, Kereshmeh Kashefian; and Special Events and Fundraising Chair, Mary Surbaugh.
LFM is open Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. from mid-April through October in the parking lot between the Post Office and the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, where in season vendors have bread, baked goods, greens, vegetables, herbs, pork, poultry, rabbit, game bird meat, lamb, beef, cut flowers, honey, eggs, chair massage, handmade wearables, crafts, and kid’s activities. LFM accepts SNAP, EBT and credit cards.
