Dear Editor:
If you have the social awareness to be reading this newspaper, then you probably realize that now is the time that decent citizens must step forward to save our democracy.
If you are tired of the chaos, corruption, and cruelty of our national government, the incompetence of our state government, or the mediocrity of our local government, then stop complaining and do something about it. Run for public office, become involved in any way you can. Democracy requires the public have choices. Your community needs you now.
Democrats are looking for candidates with intelligence and integrity. We respect people who think independently and for themselves. All we ask is that our candidates support the Constitution and believe the government must be “of the people, by the people and for the people.”
