The historic Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs will host the 2nd Annual Daywind Quartet Festival on Apr. 4-6. Artists scheduled to appear include the legendary Blackwood Brothers and Kingsmen Quartet, Dove Award winning groups such as Brian Free & Assurance and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, and up and coming quartets Tribute and the Ball Brothers, among others. The three-day event will also include performances by the top regional quartets in the country, as selected by fans as part of the recent Daywind Quartet Talent Contest. With 15 quartets in total participating in the festival, fans are sure to hear familiar classics, as well as be introduced to new favorites!
Attendees will enjoy four full concerts featuring the best quartets on the road today, along with Q&A sessions, scrap iron quartets, and a special presentation of Quartet Night Across America, which pays homage to the rich history of quartet music throughout the years and the groups that paved the way. Hosted by Paul Heil, Quartet Night Across America includes special features on the 80-year history of the Blackwood Brothers, as well as the impact of Gold City on Southern Gospel Music in the 1980s, and the rising of fan-favorite quartet, The Cathedrals, throughout the 1990s. This unique presentation brings an element of nostalgia and history that sets the stage for the entire Quartet Festival.
