The City of Lewisburg is searching for volunteer households and businesses to participate in its Lead and Copper sampling program. Any household that is supplied water by the Lewisburg Water System can participate.
The City does not have the required number of lead and copper participants. Changes to the EPA regulations require ALL sample locations must have copper pipes with solder joints.
Our deadline to submit the sampling plan is July 15, so contact the City today.
While any home or business with copper pipes is eligible, we particularly need homes or businesses built before 1989 for the City to be able to fulfill the requirements of the regulations.
If we cannot complete this requirement, the City will be in violation and subject to fines and penalties.
