Last Chance to Attend 2025 WV Renaissance Festival This Weekend

The West Virginia Renaissance Festival is preparing to close out its 2025 season with one last weekend of immersive medieval revelry, running Saturday and Sunday, June 29 and 30.

Each weekend in June has drawn crowds eager to escape modern times and experience a world of jousting knights, jesters, pirates, and fairies. This final weekend is expected to be one of the busiest, with organizers encouraging guests to arrive early and come in costume, with this weekend’s theme being bacchanalia.

Attendees can enjoy full-combat jousting, stage performances, comedy sword fights, roaming musicians, unicorn rides, and artisan vendors. The royal court will make their final procession of the season, and the festival’s taverns will serve up mead, ale, and other refreshments, along with turkey legs, scotch eggs, Cajun food, German staples including schnitzel, and more.

Gates open at 11 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available at the gate or online at wvrenfest.com, with discounts for children, seniors, and military. Parking is free, and the event is held rain or shine.

For those who haven’t yet traveled back in time this season, this is the final chance until next June. Visit www.wvrenfest.com for more information.
