West Virginia Division of Highways announces that the southbound lane on US 219 in Lewisburg, from just past Lee Street to just past Arbuckle Lane, will be subject to a lane closure starting Sunday night, Oct. 26, through Thursday, Dec. 4, according to Greg Hylton, District Nine construction engineer.
The contractor will be installing new gas lines, which will result in traffic being reduced to a single lane through the work area between the hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Flagging personnel will be in place to maintain traffic flow; however, motorists are asked to observe all traffic control signs and devices and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Delays are expected; therefore, motorists should allow additional time for their commute or seek alternate routes.
The roadway is expected to re-open Thursday, Dec. 4. However; please be advised that inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
