Kroger has issued a recall for Simple Truth Organic Mixed Vegetables because a supplier indicated the product may be contaminated with Listeria. According to a statement released by the Food and Drug Administration, no customer illnesses have been reported to date.
The product was sold in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.
Kroger is recalling the following item: Simple Truth Organic Mixed Vegetables, 10 oz. 000111103673R – Sell By Date: December 2016 and January 2017.
Kroger has removed the item from store shelves and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased recalled Class 1 products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls. Customers who have purchased the above product should not consume it and should return them to a store for a full refund or replacement.
