Ronceverte -Kenneth Lake Longanacre, 84, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2019, after a short illness.
Kenneth was born on Mar. 9, 1935, in Fort Spring, the son of the late Klase and Gladys Shirey Longanacre.
Kenneth was a member of the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church and retired from Martin & Jones Hardware and Furniture after 35 years of service.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nellie; brother, Charles Longanacre of Ronceverte; and sister, Marjorie Farren of Ormond Beach, FL.
He is survived by daughter, Darla Kingery and husband Greg of Huntington; granddaughter, Alyshia Perry and husband Chris and two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Sidney Perry of Huntington; brother, Klase Ray Longanacre of Lawton, OK; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Anita Wagner whose love and care for her uncle went above and beyond; and several special friends, Jimmy King, Ronnie and Sharon Baker, Johnny Robinson and Ed Vaught, who spent so much time with Dad to help in any way they could. He was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held Friday June 21, at 4 p.m. at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg with Rev. Stephen Baldwin officiating.
There will be no visitation.
