
The Mountaineer Job ChalleNGe Program is pleased to announce Class 2-24 as the 11th class to complete this West Virginia National Guard Program. A total of 19 graduates from 10 counties across the State of West Virginia successfully completed the requirements for graduation.
The following student participated from Greenbrier County: Student Andrew Warren Keaton, son of Robin and James Childers of Rainelle, graduated from the Medical Assistant Program.
Our Medical Assistant Program includes partnership with Eastern WV Community Technical College, where our students have the opportunity to test and earn a NHA Medical Assistant (CCMA) Certification.
All graduating Students have completed the residential phase of the Program, which includes activities in eight core component areas ranging from Service to Community to Employability Skills. Students in this class provided 1,272 hours of Service to Community for such organizations as Camp Dawson Multipurpose Building, Camp Dawson DFAC, Valley Healthcare, Route 7, Hovatters Zoo, The Grace House, and WWU Research Farm. Following graduation, these Students will begin a one-year post-residential phase of the Program that includes placement activities in education, military, and/or employment.
