Athens-Kathleen Eva Osborne Flint, 84, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at Serenity Place Assisted Living Center in Lerona.
“Kitty” was born Jan. 6, 1931, at Vale, a daughter of the late Luther and Roma Bryant Osborne.
She was a homemaker and was formerly a 67-year resident of Clintonville. Mrs. Flint was the last surviving sibling in her immediate family and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lewis William Flint, who passed away in February 2005. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Layton, Lacy, Dale and Melvin; and two sisters, Teresa Jones and Gladys Hanson.
Survivors include: her only child, Shirley Ann Hylton and husband Gary of Athens; as well as several nieces, nephews and a lifelong friend since the age of 4, Margaret Childress and husband John of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Along with her late husband, Kathleen enjoyed attending various events in their restored 1925 Ford Model T. Their trips extended from Nitro to Elkins throughout the years. She was a former member of the Greenbrier Valley Antique Automobile Club in Lewisburg.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 17, at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Clintonville, where Rev. Ron Miller officiated. Interment followed in Wallace Memorial Cemetery.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum on Monday.
