White Sulphur Springs – Juanita R. Long, 93 passed away Saturday, Mar. 17, 2018, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Virginia, the daughter of the late Clyde and Ellen Hubbert Steele.
Juanita was a retired housekeeper with The Greenbrier with 34 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. And not just any mother, she was my best friend.
To mourn her loss, she leaves behind her daughter, Shirley Long (Bo Ramsey); grandson, Chris Sharp (Mary Beth); granddaughter, Kimberly Layne (Patrick) all of Huntington; five great-grandchildren, Shelby Earl, Cassidy Sharp, Breanna Layne, Anna Sharp and Caden Layne; one great-great-grandson, Brady Lee; brother-in-law, Elmer Long (Mary); sister-in-law, Mary Jane Ruhe (Hans) all of Florida; and special member of the family, Brenda Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Long; daughter, Patricia Sharp; grandson, Brian Hardiman; sons-in-law, Charles Hardiman and Jackie Sharp; brothers, Paul, Gene, Bob, Jess, Dewey, Cody and Clinton; sister Ilda; and nephews, Harold Steele and Clinton Wright.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Mar, 24, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Greg Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
