Alderson-Joe Wesley Price, II, 71, formerly of Belleview, FL and Ocala, FL, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, Hurricane, WV, following a short illness.
Born May 10, 1944, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Joe Wesley Price and the late Betty Ann Laird Arbuckle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Price Londeree; and a niece, Ann Kristen Hogsett Burns.
Mr. Price was a retired plumber and a retired manager for a plumbing supply company, retiring from Hughes Supply Company in Ocala, FL. He was a 1962 graduate of Lewisburg High School. Mr. Price was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, having served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and was also a member of the NRA. Mr. Price was of the Christian faith and enjoyed watching TV ministries. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing and enjoyed spending time with his friends going to flea markets.
Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Sue Elswick Price of Alderson; six children and step-children, Matthew, Wendy, Karen, Melinda, Cathy and Jimmy; sister, Cally Hogsett and husband Steve of Barboursville, WV; eight grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel, Alderson, where Pastor Bill Blankenship officiated. Burial was in the Clifton Cemetery at Maxwelton.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
