Joan Marie White-Leydet
White Sulphur Springs-Joan Marie White-Leydet, 77, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014.
Born on Mar. 13, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine Frost McCarthy.
During her working years, she was a beautician at The Greenbrier. Joan was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs and was a former member of the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department Auxiliary.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by George N. White, Jr.
Survivors include a son, George Roger White (Candace) of White Sulphur Springs; grandson, Ryan Wayne Hulmes of Clarksburg; and half-brother, Benny Malchiodi (Pahton) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Her memorial service was conducted Saturday, Jan. 3, in the Chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home where Father Chapin Engles officiated.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs.
Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral.
