Jerry Hollandsworth, 81, of Peterstown, WV, passed away at his home after a battle with Alzheimer’s with his loved ones by his side.
He was born on Jan. 5, 1944, in Hillsboro, WV, to the late Denny and Anna Simmons Hollandsworth.
He is survived by his wife and constant companion of 57 years, Deborah Bostic Hollandsworth; brother, Daniel (Sue) Hollandsworth of Hillsboro; sisters-in-law, Lou Hollandsworth of Trenton, SC, and Kay Walkup of Organ Cave, WV; and several nieces and nephews, including Joel and Justin Hayes, who were always here when needed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Hollandsworth; sisters, Juanita Morris, Valerie Handy, Dorothy LaRue, and Louise Oliver; and brothers, Ralph, Donald, and Bobby Hollandsworth.
Jerry was a member of Cashmere Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was stationed in Okinawa during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a man of many talents, but most importantly, he was honest and hard working with quick wit that would have everyone laughing.
