Lewisburg – Janet Lewis, 68, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at her home in Lewisburg.
She was born May 21, 1949, at Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of the late Adelbert and Doris Yeakey Lewis.
Janet was a retired Business Administrator for NBOME-National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, Inc. in Chicago, IL and was formerly employed by Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg. She also attended Shuck Memorial Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ervin Zolecki; and a brother, Gene Lewis.
She is survived by her son, Adam Zolecki and wife Reba of Caldwell; four brothers, Lowell Lewis and wife Carrol of Tulsa, OK, Dave Lewis and wife Patty of Wichita, KS; Mike Lewis and wife Marilyn of McLeansboro, IL, and Steve Lewis and wife Mary of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Janet Lewis of McCausland, Iowa; and a close sister-in-law, Janet Smith of Cummings, GA.
As per her wishes, her body has been cremated.
A celebration of her life was held aThursday, Oct. 5, at Carnegie Hall, where Dr. Bob Foster officiated.
